James M. Papesch, M.D.
Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology in 2005 by The American Board of Radiology, Dr. Papesch earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL in 1992 and 1994 respectively. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL in 2000.
Dr. Papesch’s post-graduate training including his Internal Medicine internship at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL, 2000-2001 and Diagnostic Radiology Residency 2001-2005, which included service as Chief Resident to help establish on-call guidelines for new residents pertaining to issues of imaging pregnant patients, intravenous contrast reactions, intravenous access, renal functional and specific imaging protocols.
His Body Imaging Fellowship was conducted at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, WI, 2005-2006, including training in abdominal MRI; neural and musculoskeletal imaging; procedural experience involving biopsies and fluid aspirations; ultrasound and CT-guided radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation of tumors, and 3-D virtual colonoscopy. Dr. Papesch also conducted extensive graduate education medical research and premedical employment at Abbott Laboratories from 1994-1996.
Dr. Papesch joined Lake County Radiologists in 2006.
