Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in 1992, Dr. Alexander earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medicine in 1983 from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois; and his Doctor of Medicine Degree, from Northwestern University Medical School College of Medicine, Honors Program in Medical Education ,Evanston, IL, 1987.
His post graduate training included Internship training at West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park, IL, 1988 where he received Resident of the Year award and a Radiology Residency program at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, IL, 1992. Dr. Alexander completed Fellowship training in CT/US/MRI-Body Imaging at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago, IL and visiting Fellowships in Musculoskeletal MRI at University of California, San Francisco, CA, 1997 and Coronary CT Angiography at Atlantic Medical Imaging- Suny Medical University, Galloway, NJ
Dr. Alexander is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology; American Roentgen Ray Society; and Illinois Radiological Society/Chicago Radiological Society. Dr. Alexander has co-authored publications and given presentations encompassing several areas of Radiology Imaging. He has also participated in clinical trials in conjunction with Mallinckrodt Labs 2001 and Berlex Laboratories 2003. During his free time Dr. Alexander enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, playing in a blues band and coaching his daughters’ basketball teams.
