Dr. Patzik received his Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 1993; and Certificate of Additional Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 1995. He has recently obtained recertification in 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois in 1984, and his Medical Doctor degree from Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL in 1988.
His postgraduate training included his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, IL, 1988-1989; Diagnostic Imaging Residency and Fellowship in Angiography and Interventional Radiology, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago, IL, 1989-1994.
Dr. Patzik’s academic appointments include his position as Associate Professor of Radiology, Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, 1994-2000. His administrative services: Section Head-Vascular and Interventional Radiology, St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH, 1994-2000; Founder-President, Angio-Interventional Club of Northwest Ohio, 1995-2000. Dr. Patzik is currently Section Head of the Interventional Radiology Department at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He has co-authored numerous articles and scientific exhibits on Interventional Radiology topics.
Before joining Lake County Radiology Associates in 2000, Dr. Patzik held a position with Consulting Radiologists, Toledo, OH; 1994-2000.
